Who decides what we eat? Ultra-processed foods: shortcut or trap?
In this session, executives from the traditional food industry (mass market) will sit down with new market entrants (start-ups and modern distributors) to discuss how the industry is responding to, and should respond to, changing consumer demands.
Significant transformations have been forced by trends such as the desire for healthier and ‘free-from’ products (allergen-free, sugar-free, etc.), concern for sustainability, and the search for convenience and speed (the boom in ready meals and delivery services). In short, this session will take a holistic look at how all links in the chain – production, distribution and catering – must work together to adapt to the new consumer, who is more informed, demanding and digitally savvy than ever before.
