Biogenetics and food: innovation, ethics and the future of what we eat
This talk will look at the evolution of our relationship with food and how biotechnology could change this relationship in the future.
Innovations in food biotechnology lead us to consider the role of biogenetics in crop improvement, the use of functional foods and food sustainability. We will also consider the ethical and social implications and the controversy or public acceptance of genetically modified foods.
