Many of the current big names in Spanish gastronomy were awarded this distinction, such as Dabid Muñoz, Ricard Camarena, Rodrigo de la Calle and Óscar Calleja. Likewise, most of the award winners currently hold Michelin stars in their establishments. All this is proof of the intuition of this award, which is based on a panel of judges made up of more than 80 national gastronomic critics led by the journalist and president of Madrid Fusión José Carlos Capel.
