The sommelier at El Celler de Can Roca** will bring the master tastings of Madrid Fusión The Wine Edition 2021 to a close by presenting wines whose character has been shaped by the landscape and climate.
Josep Roca’s talk will take an in-depth look at so-called ‘fire wines’ and ‘ice wines’, monoculture and polyculture, as well as the link between sudden changes in climate and extreme situations that allow vines to grow even in the desert. He will illustrate this by taking us on a journey throughout Spain and the world, discovering surprising wines that, as the sommelier himself declares, ‘smell like fire’.
