Spain has a growing number of Pinot Noir enthusiasts, people who are open to more delicate, fresher, finer wines.
Spaniards have outgrown their stereotypical image as drinkers of colourful, woody Rioja or Ribera wines. The market has become more sophisticated and some very interesting Pinot Noirs have been making inroads, particularly those from Burgundy, but also from other parts of the world. This wine tasting session led by Andreas Kubach MW will take us to some of the main original Pinot Noir winemaking regions – Ahr (Germany), Austria, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa and California – for an in-depth review, and look into what place there is for Pinot Noir wines in Spain.
