Former sommelier at elBulli and Cofounfer of Wineissocial and Outlook Wine (Barcelona, Spain)

Ferran Centelles, a national and international leader in the world of sommelier services, began his professional career at elBulli, where he was responsible for the wine list for over ten years.

A DipWSET and Advanced CMS holder, he was part of the sommelier team at the restaurant between 2000 and 2011. Following the restaurant's transformation into a foundation, he continues to be associated with the elBulli Foundation as part of the Sapiens del Vino project. He is also the Spanish wine expert for Jancis Robinson.

He has received numerous awards in recognition of his career: in 2006, he was named Best Sommelier in Spain (Ruinart); in 2011, he received the National Gastronomy Award alongside David Seijas; and in 2019, he was named WSET Best Alumni.

As an author, he has published several reference works, including ¿Qué vino con este pato? (Planeta Gastro); Las 100,75 Preguntas Que Siempre Quería Hacer Sobre El Vino (The 100.75 Questions You Always Wanted to Ask About Wine) (Libros de Vanguardia); La Botella 18 (The 18th Bottle) (Edicions Dionisíacas); and the Libro Rojo de la Cata (The Red Book of Wine Tasting) (elBullifoundation).
