Ana Jarquín
Co-owner of La Pastisseria (Barcelona, Spain)

Ana Jarquin (Guatemala City, 1986) knew from an early age that her passion was pastry. She trained in Rome at A Tavola con lo Chef and at the Hofmann School in Barcelona. After her studies, she began her career as an intern at the legendary Drolma and was head pastry chef at Carme Ruscalleda and Raül Balam's ABaC and Moments restaurants.
Over the years, Ana has developed a way of understanding and looking at pastry that has been rewarded with numerous awards. In 2019, she won the title of best new pastry chef at the Madrid Fusión competition.
Fate has brought Ana to the side of Josep Maria Rodríguez, world champion pastry chef, to form a perfect tandem, both personally and professionally. Together they work hand in hand in La Pastisseria Barcelona's constant quest for excellence. Although she is in charge of the shop management and he is in charge of the bakery, they are both responsible for the research and development of all the creations and collections they design to make our lives a little sweeter.
