Juancho Asenjo is a populariser in the broadest sense of the word.

A teacher, consultant, businessman and writer, he advises Spanish wineries on market issues and trains their technical and sales teams, as well as companies that import foreign wines into Spain.

As tasting director of the Grandes Pagos de España, he conducts training activities and teaches in various sommelier courses throughout Spain. He has been a member of El Mundovino since it was founded over 20 years ago and is a member of the International Wine Academy.

Recognised as one of the world's leading experts on Italian wines, he has received international awards such as the Giornalista del Roero prize, the Grandi Cru Italia prize for the best foreign journalist and the Cavaliere dell'Ordine Della Stella Della Soliedarità Italiana from the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, for his work in disseminating Italian culture throughout the world.
